Gifts that give back, and how to pick a good one
Plenty of products say they give back. Some give a lot, some give very little, and some are vague about it. This guide covers what to look for in a gift that gives back, exactly how ours works, and some of the designs people choose most often.
Updated 2026-10-17 ¡ Every case $24.99 ¡ free US shipping ¡ free 30-day returns
What to look for in a gift that gives back
- A clear number. "A portion of proceeds" can mean almost anything. A stated percentage, or a fixed amount per item, is easier to trust.
- A gift that stands on its own. The best give-back gifts are things people would want anyway. If the only reason to buy it is the donation, a direct donation might do more good.
- Honesty about what you are paying for. A product with a built-in donation is not the same as a charitable donation you make yourself, and it is usually not tax-deductible.
- A way to ask questions. A real contact where you can ask where the money goes.
How ours works
10% of every order goes to a verified charity partner. Every case costs $24.99 with free US shipping, and the 10% is part of that price, not an extra charge. You do not have to do anything at checkout for it to happen.
Our cases are original designs printed to order for iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. They ship within 48 business hours, and returns are free within 30 days. In other words, the gift should hold up on its own, and the giving is a bonus rather than the whole point.
Designs people choose for giving
Nature and wildlife designs are a natural fit for a gift with a cause attached. A stained-glass whale breaching, a sea turtle gliding through clear water, a snow leopard and a snowy owl are among the most popular picks.

For someone who loves green places more than animals, the turquoise coastline, the wildflower field at dusk and the lavender field are calm, bright choices.
Who these gifts suit
- Friends who volunteer or organise. See our guide to gifts for activists and volunteers.
- Family members who would rather you did not spend money on them. A useful gift with giving built in is an easy compromise.
- Office gift exchanges and teacher gifts, where a $25 limit is common. See meaningful gifts under $25.
- Holiday lists. See charitable Christmas gifts.
Pairing it with a direct donation
If giving back is the main point of the gift, consider pairing a case with a donation in their name to a cause they care about. The case is the thing they unwrap and use; the donation is the bigger contribution. Mention both in your note.

Questions worth asking any give-back brand
Whether you buy from us or anyone else, a few questions separate real giving from marketing. What percentage, or what amount, goes to charity? Is it on every sale or only some products? Is it on top of the price or included? Who receives it, and can you ask? Our answers: 10%, on every order, included in the $24.99 price, to a verified charity partner, and yes, email us.
If a brand cannot answer those questions plainly, treat the giving claim as decoration rather than a reason to buy.
Enter their name and address as the shipping address at checkout and the case goes straight to them. We do not put notes in the box, so make a free reveal card with the design and your message to text or print. Not sure what they would like? The gift finder asks three quick questions.
A quick note on how the giving works, so nothing is overstated: 10% of every order goes to a verified charity partner. It comes out of the $24.99 price, not on top of it, and it is not a tax-deductible donation for you. If you want details on current partners, email hello@phonecasesforcharity.com.
